The Strand Photo Shoot
The sandy, white beach of The Strand with its blue water and the majestic mountains in the background was the setting for this shoot. This area and its beautiful stretch of coastline was discovered in 1695 by the Dutch East India Co. and named The Strand (Afrikaans: Die Strand) in 1937. Today the town is a popular seaside resort, with a 5km long sandy beach, offering safe swimming, sunbathing and surfing. It is in close proximity to the EZ LE ROUX studio and approximately 50km from Cape Town.
The combination of the white sand dunes with the cool blue water, and the Helderberg Mountains as backdrop, created the ideal scenic canvas for this photo shoot. The vibrant colours of the sunset on the beach gave the photographer the opportunity to shoot spectacular photographs.
